Types of changes
Schools intending to make changes to their registration are required to complete the relevant sections of the Application for changes to registration of a school in South Australia and submit relevant evidence prior to the change occurring.
Changes include, but are not limited to:
✓ Change of school name
✓ Change of school campus: adding or removing a campus
✓ Change of school location
✓ Changes to year levels provided: extending year levels or reducing year levels
✓ Changes to governing or responsible authorities
✓ Amalgamations: closing a school to make it a campus of another or closing two schools to make one new school
Use the Evidence guide to using the Standards for registration of new or changed schools. This provides guidance on the kind of evidence that may be used to demonstrate the criteria in the Standards for registration and review of registration of schools in South Australia (the Standards).
Updating your details
To update your school's details, email esb.schools [at] sa.edu.au. Updates include:
- a new school principal
- new email addresses or telephone numbers
CRICOS-registered schools that appoint a new principal must submit an Application for change of registration to enrol full fee paying overseas students.
Intended school closure
Use the Notification of closure of a registered South Australian school form for all intended school closures and subsequent removal from the schools register. Contact the office if you require assistance.
